The Girls of Stefania

A short, inspiring film that weaves together the stories of 5 female refugees that arrived in south west London after the outbreak of war in Ukraine. United by their love of dance and respect for their own distinctive culture their meeting gave rise to the creation of the Ukrainian dance troupe ‘Stefania’. Lead by their charismatic leader Alina the film is a homage to the power and comfort art can bring to individuals in difficult and challenging circumstances.
